The Mayor of Gloucester, Joanne Brown, and Sheriff, Howard Hyman, welcomed me to the Mayor’s Parlous to congratulate me on 30 years of crying.

They complimented my award-winning voice and recognised my dedication to the profession, now that I’ve spent three decades shouting about our city! The Mayor showed her enthusiasm and thanks in a rather amusing speech and I was presented with a silver watch chain fob. After everything I’ve been through lately, it really was fantastic.

I’m told my silver watch chain fob was commissioned and designed by the Civic Office, and handcrafted by a specialist local jeweller. It really is something I shall treasure forever.
