Can you believe it’s been a whole decade since NATO’s Allied Rapid Reaction Corps moved from Germany to Gloucester? Ten incredible years of this wonderful multinational force sitting right on our doorstep.
To commemorate such a landmark occasion, I headed over to their NATO barracks where the Corps named a street ‘Rheindahlen Road’ after their former base in north west Germany. Although the ceremony had to be toned down due to Covid-19 restrictions, it was a most colourful splendour which was also attended by the ARRC’s Italian deputy commander, Major General Lorenzo D’Addario.
