I’m just back from spending a week in Venice with the family, seeing the sights and chilling out by the Rialto Bridge. We had a great time – the carnival was on while we were there so there were thousands of people in magnificent Venetian costumes. Sadly, I had to leave all of my Town Crier kit at home but I did manage to impress the gondoliers with the cut of my suit!
Since then it’s been straight back to work. I spent a day recently working for the Leeds Building Society in Gloucester. They were celebrating their 35th anniversary and I was kept busy outside for most of the day, handing out goodie bags and balloon modelling for the children. The Mayor of Gloucester, Councillor Dave Brown, was on hand to cut the cake. Plus, I’ve been at my regular spot at The Stables Market in the City of London and working for The Stage as Master of Ceremonies.
