I don’t know about you but I’m trying my best to survive this lockdown and embrace the new normal. While many important changes and events have happened in the first part of this year alone, one event we can’t let pass without celebrating is the 75th anniversary of VE Day.

While we can’t commemorate it in a way the nation might have hoped, I along with thousands of others, shall be tuning into BBC Gloucestershire’s virtual parade. Alongside the Royal British Legion, the Allied Rapid Reaction Corps and Gloucester’s sheriff, I shall be commemorating a most magnificent landmark occasion for our nation.
