After an absence spanning several years, Coleford has welcomed a new Tourist Information Centre to the town. The office has opened on Lords Hill, just opposite the police station, and will be manned by a team of willing volunteers.
I was lucky enough to be invited to the formal ribbon cutting ceremony which was conducted by the town’s mayor, Councillor Paul Kay, alongside Maureen McAllister from the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley Tourism Association.
It is jolly old news that the new TIC has opened in time for the summer season, this excellent initiative will be extremely beneficial to Coleford.
