Gosh, I have been busy lately! This September marked the 10th anniversary of Gloucester Day in the modern era. Another one of my favourite festivals (I know, I know, I have so many!) it does what it says on the tin – celebrates everything that’s great about our city.
Of course, this year and every year, we commemorated the 1643 Siege of Gloucester and held a parade packed with volunteers and veterans of the armed forces – it literally brought a tear to my eyes. We also had live music and entertainment in full swing all day, alongside stalls through the main streets for people to browse.
It was a most memorable day – here’s to the next 10 years!
