I’m finding it hard lately not to think about the times we took for granted. The times when the world was happier and, to a great number of people, more ‘normal’.
I’m sure, over time, things will improve and we’ll get used to a new ‘normal’ but I did have a smile to myself the other day when a certain social media site reminded me that two years ago I was in London with HRH Princess Michael.
Her Royal Highness unveiled a plaque to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Joseph Clarke School for the Visually Impaired.
Not only did I have the privilege of meeting Princess Michael herself, but it was a great honour to meet some of the children who were pupils at the school then. And I must say, even to this day, I remember some of the great characters! I had a lovely day and remembering the event in London really brought a smile to my face.
It’s memories like this that are so precious and we must treasure until such time when we’re able to attend these important celebrations once more!
