As in any profession, I’m sure, it’s always a sad day when you lose one of your own. And that sad day came for me mid-April when it was announced Pieter Schuijn, Town Crier of Hattem, Netherlands, had died. 

After a two year battle he passed away, having been a famous figure here in England, as well as Germany and the Netherlands. I would like to take this opportunity to send all our condolences to Peter’s family and friends. He will be truly missed!
