Traditionally, Lent is the time of year when we give up out favourite goodies. Putting our self control to the test as we attempt to go a whole forty days and forty nights without caving in. Whether you’re giving up biscuits, chocolate or alcohol, it’s a time for solidarity!
I spent my first Sunday of Lent with The Civic Service in association with The Cathedral Church Of Saint Peter And The Holy And Indivisible Trinity Gloucester. It was a lovely gathering at The Guildhall, and also attending was the High Sheriff of Gloucestershire, Charles Martell himself.
I had the most wonderful afternoon meetin’n’greetin’ and seeing lots of faces – new and old! I want to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to everyone who came and said hello.
