I felt like it had been a while since I donned my ol’ Town Crier uniform but I was more than happy to step right back into it to celebrate the World Day for Cultural Diversity. I was most excited when a request from Special UN Envoy, Philip Bonn, arrived, asking me to communicate Great Britain’s support in the traditional style.
I stood on the steps of Shire Hall, rang my bell as loudly as I could and gave a great speech about the importance of such a day. I’m a huge believer in recognising and celebrating the diverse cultures and traditions in our society, I really do feel it’s part of what makes Great Britain so bloomin’ great!
